One of the fundamental operations to ensure the dimensional quality of the <strong>profile is stretching.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is stretching?<\/h3>\n\n<p><strong>Drawing <\/strong>is a mechanical operation carried out after <strong>extrusion and cooling of the aluminium profile.<\/strong> It consists of applying a longitudinal traction on the profile in order to: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Correct geometric deformations generated during extrusion (bending, twisting).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve the straightness of the profile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove residual internal stresses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjust final dimensions within industrial tolerances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>This is a standard process in the industrial manufacture of high <strong>dimensional accuracy aluminium profiles<\/strong>, <strong>especially when structural stability and compatibility<\/strong> <strong>with subsequent processes such as heat treatment,<\/strong> <strong>machining or surface finishing (anodising or lacquering) is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is this done?<\/h3>\n\n<p>Once the extruded profile has reached room temperature, both ends of the profile are clamped together and controlled tension is applied.
